Plasma glucose 1 hour after 75gm glucose.
This test measures blood glucose levels 1 hour after consuming 75g of glucose, helping diagnose gestational diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance. Preparation involves fasting for at least 8 hours before the test. During the test, you drink a glucose solution, and blood is drawn after one hour. Risks are minimal but may include slight discomfort from the blood draw or nausea from the glucose solution. After the test, normal activities can resume.
