Synovial Fluid for Anti TB IgM
A synovial fluid for Anti-TB IgM test detects IgM antibodies against Mycobacterium tuberculosis in the synovial fluid, which can indicate an acute or recent infection of the joint by tuberculosis. The presence of IgM antibodies suggests the body is in the early stages of responding to the infection. This test is useful in diagnosing tuberculous arthritis when clinical signs are present but other tests (like culture or AFB staining) are inconclusive.
