Pericardial Fluid for Anti TB IgM
This test detects antibodies (IgM) against tuberculosis (TB) in the pericardial fluid, helping diagnose TB infection affecting the heart lining. Preparation involves fasting, if required, and informing the doctor about any current medications. The test requires a procedure called pericardiocentesis to obtain fluid from the pericardial sac around the heart. Risks include infection, bleeding, or damage to heart structures.
