MRI OF LUMBER PLEXUS

An MRI of the lumbar plexus is a diagnostic imaging procedure that uses magnetic fields and radio waves to generate detailed images of the lumbar plexus, a network of nerves located in the lower back. The lumbar plexus controls sensation and movement in the lower limbs and pelvis. This MRI is typically used to investigate nerve injuries, tumors, inflammation, or conditions like sciatica, radiculopathy, or neuropathy. No special preparation is generally required, but fasting may be needed if contrast is used. During the procedure, you will lie still in the MRI machine for about 20-40 minutes. The scan is painless, and you can resume normal activities afterward. A radiologist will interpret the results.
