Circulating Eosinophil Count
The Circulating Eosinophil Count test measures the number of eosinophils (a type of white blood cell) in the blood. Eosinophils are involved in allergic reactions, asthma, parasitic infections, and certain autoimmune conditions. Elevated levels of eosinophils (eosinophilia) can suggest allergic disorders, parasitic infections, drug reactions, or conditions like eosinophilic asthma or inflammatory bowel disease. A low eosinophil count is typically not a concern. This test is often part of a complete blood count (CBC) and is used to diagnose or monitor such conditions.300 BDT
