T / E Tube For C/S
A T/E tube for C/S (Culture and Sensitivity) test is used to collect respiratory or other fluid samples from a tracheostomy (T) or endotracheal (E) tube to identify the presence of microorganisms, such as bacteria, fungi, or viruses, that may be causing infections like ventilator-associated pneumonia or tracheitis. The sample collected from the tube is cultured in the laboratory to identify the pathogens, and sensitivity testing determines which antibiotics or antifungals are effective for treatment.
