SSF From Ear (Lt.)
SSF (Superficial Scraping for Fungi) from the left ear is a diagnostic test used to detect fungal infections in the ear canal or outer ear. Fungal infections of the ear may include Candida, Aspergillus, or dermatophyte infections, which can cause conditions like otomycosis (fungal ear infection). The cultured sample allows the fungi to grow, and sensitivity testing may be done to determine the most effective antifungal treatment.
