Duplex Study of Both Lower Limb Artery
A Duplex Study of both lower limb arteries is a non-invasive ultrasound test used to assess the blood flow and structure of the arteries in both legs. This test is primarily used to diagnose conditions such as peripheral artery disease (PAD), arterial blockages, stenosis (narrowing of arteries), or aneurysms. During the procedure, a gel is applied to the skin, and a transducer is moved over the legs to capture images of the arteries and measure blood flow using Doppler technology. The test is generally painless, although mild pressure from the transducer may be felt.
