CT Scan of Mandible/Maxilla

Preparation involves removing any metal objects, such as jewelry or dentures. The procedure is painless, but contrast dye may be used to enhance image clarity. Risks include allergic reactions to contrast dye and radiation exposure. Results are interpreted by examining the images for fractures, bone abnormalities, or infections.
