Ultrasonogram of Prostate

It is often performed transabdominally or transrectally (TRUS – Transrectal Ultrasound) for a clearer view of the prostate. This scan helps detect conditions like benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), prostate cancer, or infections. The procedure is non-invasive and involves using sound waves to create images of the prostate. It can be used to guide biopsies or monitor changes over time. While generally safe, TRUS may cause mild discomfort during insertion of the probe.1500 BDT
