Swab for C/S
A swab for C/S (Culture and Sensitivity) test is used to identify microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, or other pathogens) in a sample taken from an infection site, such as a wound, throat, or mucosal surface. The swab collects the sample, which is then cultured in a laboratory to grow the organisms. Once identified, sensitivity testing is performed to determine which antibiotics or antifungal treatments are most effective against the pathogens.
