PCN Tube (Urine) for PH
This test measures the pH level of urine, which helps assess kidney function, hydration status, and detect urinary tract infections or metabolic conditions. Preparation involves collecting a clean urine sample in a PCN (plastic) tube. During the test, the sample is analyzed for its acidity or alkalinity. Risks are minimal, but contamination can affect results. After the test, no special care is needed. Results are interpreted based on the pH value: acidic (pH < 7) or alkaline (pH > 7). Conditions like dehydration, kidney disease, or a urinary infection can impact pH levels.400 BDT
