MRI of Nasopharynx
An MRI of the nasopharynx is a diagnostic imaging procedure that uses magnetic fields and radio waves to create detailed images of the nasopharynx, which is the upper part of the throat, located behind the nose. It is commonly used to evaluate conditions such as tumors, infections, lymphadenopathy, or structural abnormalities affecting the nasopharyngeal area. No special preparation is usually required, but you may be asked to remove any metal objects. During the procedure, you will lie still in the MRI machine for 20-30 minutes.
