MRI and MRA of Peripheral
MRI and MRA of the peripheral vessels is a combined imaging procedure used to assess both the soft tissues and blood vessels in the limbs (arms and legs). MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) provides detailed images of the muscles, joints, tendons, and bones, helping to diagnose conditions like injuries, inflammation, or tumors. MRA (Magnetic Resonance Angiography) focuses specifically on the blood vessels, such as the arteries in the legs or arms, to detect blockages, aneurysms, or vascular diseases like peripheral artery disease (PAD). During the procedure, you will lie still in an MRI scanner, and a contrast dye may be injected to enhance image clarity. Fasting is typically not required, but it may be necessary if contrast is used. Risks include allergic reactions to contrast dye and mild discomfort from staying still. This combination provides a comprehensive view of both structural and vascular health in the limbs.22000 BDT
