MRCP
MRCP (Magnetic Resonance Cholangiopancreatography) is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses MRI to visualize the bile ducts, gallbladder, and pancreatic ducts. It helps diagnose conditions such as gallstones, bile duct blockages, pancreatitis, and tumors. During the procedure, you will lie on a table that moves into the MRI scanner, which takes detailed images. A contrast dye may be injected to improve clarity. No special preparation is usually needed, though fasting for several hours before the test may be required. Risks are minimal but may include allergic reactions to the contrast dye and mild discomfort from lying still.
