A Cervical Smear for Wet Film is a diagnostic procedure used to examine the cervical discharge for the presence of microorganisms, such as bacteria, yeast, or parasites, under a microscope. During the test, a sample is collected from the cervix and placed on a slide with a small amount of saline or water to preserve the sample's natural state. The slide is then examined under the microscope, allowing the laboratory technician to identify any abnormal findings like vaginal infections, trichomoniasis, or Candida (yeast).
