eGFR (MDRD)
eGFR (MDRD) estimates the glomerular filtration rate using the Modification of Diet in Renal Disease (MDRD) formula. It assesses kidney function by calculating the rate at which kidneys filter waste from the blood, factoring in creatinine levels, age, sex, and race. This test helps diagnose and monitor chronic kidney disease (CKD). Results are reported in mL/min/1.73m², with lower values indicating impaired kidney function.
