CHILD CT OF WHOLE ABDOMEN
A Child CT of Whole Abdomen is a CT scan used to examine the entire abdominal region in a child. It provides detailed images of the organs, such as the liver, kidneys, pancreas, spleen, intestines, and other structures, to help diagnose conditions like tumors, infections, gastrointestinal issues, or injuries. The child is positioned on a table while the CT scanner takes cross-sectional images of the abdomen. In some cases, contrast material may be used to improve visibility. Preparation may include fasting for a few hours, depending on the child’s age and the reason for the scan. The procedure is painless but requires the child to remain still for a short time.
