Venography of one LIMB
Venography of one limb is a diagnostic procedure that uses X-rays to examine the veins of a single leg. A contrast dye is injected into the veins, which highlights the blood vessels on the X-ray images. This test is mainly used to detect conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), venous insufficiency, blockages, or abnormalities in the venous system. During the procedure, the patient lies still as the dye is injected and X-ray images are captured. Risks include allergic reactions to the contrast dye, discomfort from the injection, and radiation exposure. The results are reviewed by a radiologist to diagnose any issues with the veins.2400 BDT
