RNS
Repetitive Nerve Stimulation (RNS) is a diagnostic test used to evaluate nerve and muscle function, often to diagnose neuromuscular disorders like myasthenia gravis, Lambert-Eaton syndrome, and other conditions that affect the transmission of signals between nerves and muscles. During the test, small electrical pulses are delivered to a nerve at a set frequency, and the response of the muscles is measured. RNS helps identify issues with neuromuscular junctions, where nerve signals are transmitted to muscles. The procedure is generally safe, with minimal discomfort from the electrical stimulation.
