his test assesses how the body processes glucose and is commonly used to screen for diabetes or gestational diabetes. Preparation requires fasting for at least 8 hours before the test. During the test, a blood sample is taken, followed by ingestion of a 50g glucose solution. After 2 hours, another blood sample is taken to measure glucose levels.
