It combines an ultrasound with a non-stress test to evaluate five key parameters: fetal heart rate, fetal movement, fetal muscle tone, amniotic fluid volume, and breathing movements. The procedure helps detect potential issues like fetal distress, placental insufficiency, or developmental problems. No special preparation is needed. The scan is generally safe with minimal risks.
