TC - WBC (Total Count of White Blood Cells) is a blood test that measures the total number of white blood cells (WBCs) in a specific blood volume. WBCs are crucial for the immune system, helping fight infections and diseases. Normal WBC ranges vary, but abnormal levels can indicate health issues. A low WBC count (leukopenia) may result from viral infections, bone marrow disorders, or autoimmune diseases. A high WBC count (leukocytosis) often signals infection, inflammation, stress, or bone marrow diseases.
