Swab from Cervix for C/S
A swab from the cervix for C/S (Culture and Sensitivity) test is used to detect bacterial or fungal infections in the cervix, often performed when a patient shows symptoms of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), abnormal vaginal discharge, or discomfort. The swab collects cervical secretions, which are cultured in a laboratory to identify any pathogens such as Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia trachomatis, or Candida species. Sensitivity testing determines which antibiotics or antifungals are effective against the identified organism. Results typically take 1-3 days, depending on the organism cultured.1500 BDT
