SSF from Left Sole
SSF (Superficial Scraping for Fungi) from the left sole is a diagnostic test used to detect fungal infections on the skin of the sole of the foot. The procedure involves scraping the affected area to collect a sample, which is then sent to a laboratory for culture. Common fungal infections in this area include Candida (yeast infections) and dermatophytes such as Trichophyton species (which cause athlete’s foot or tinea pedis).
