Sialogram right parotid gland
A sialogram of the right parotid gland is a radiographic procedure used to visualize the right parotid gland and its duct system. In this procedure, a contrast dye is injected into the duct of the parotid gland (Stensen's duct), and X-ray images are taken to assess for any blockages, stones, strictures, or other abnormalities within the gland or duct. It is commonly performed when a patient experiences symptoms like pain, swelling, or dry mouth, which may indicate conditions such as sialolithiasis (salivary stones), infections, or ductal obstructions.
