P. D. Fluid for C/S
This test is used to identify infections in peritoneal dialysis (P.D.) fluid, helping detect bacterial or fungal infections. Preparation involves cleaning the catheter insertion site. During the procedure, a sample of the fluid is collected using a sterile needle or catheter. Risks include infection at the catheter site or slight discomfort. After the test, no special care is needed. Results show the type of microorganism causing the infection and its antibiotic sensitivity.
