MRV OF UPPER LIMB
Magnetic Resonance Venography (MRV) of the upper limb is a diagnostic imaging technique used to visualize the veins in the arms, shoulders, and neck. It helps identify conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), venous insufficiency, vascular malformations, or venous obstructions. During the procedure, the patient lies on a table with the arm positioned inside the MRI machine. MRV uses magnetic fields and radio waves to create detailed images of the venous system, often with a contrast agent to enhance visualization of the veins.
