MRV of Brain
Magnetic Resonance Venography (MRV) of the brain is a non-invasive imaging technique used to visualize the veins in the brain. It helps diagnose conditions like venous thrombosis (blood clots), venous malformations, and other vascular abnormalities by creating detailed images of the brain's venous system. During the procedure, the patient lies on a table, and the head is positioned inside the MRI machine. MRV uses magnetic fields and radio waves to produce high-resolution images of the veins, often with the help of a contrast agent to enhance visualization.
