MRI of Urogram
An MRI urogram is a diagnostic imaging procedure used to assess the urinary tract, including the kidneys, ureters, and bladder. It helps in detecting conditions like kidney stones, tumors, urinary tract infections, and structural abnormalities. During the procedure, the patient lies on a table, and the abdomen and pelvis are positioned inside the MRI machine. The MRI uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to generate detailed images. Sometimes, a contrast agent is used to enhance visualization of the urinary tract. Fasting for a few hours may be required before the scan.
