It is commonly used to assess conditions like atherosclerosis, aneurysms, blood clots, or narrowing of the arteries that could lead to stroke. Preparation may involve fasting for a few hours if contrast agents are used. During the procedure, you will lie still in the MRI machine for about 20-30 minutes.
