This test is often used to detect liver diseases like cirrhosis, tumors, cysts, fatty liver disease, or bile duct blockages. No special preparation is typically needed, but fasting for a few hours before the test may be required. During the procedure, you will lie still in the MRI machine for about 30-45 minutes.
