In this view, the X-ray beam passes from below the chin (submento) to the top of the head (vertical), providing a clear view of the cranial structures from beneath. The patient typically lies on their back or stands, tilting the head backward to achieve the correct position. This procedure is quick, non-invasive, and involves minimal radiation exposure.
