CSF FOR TPHA
CSF for TPHA (Treponema pallidum Hemagglutination Assay) detects antibodies against Treponema pallidum, the causative agent of syphilis, in cerebrospinal fluid. It helps diagnose neurosyphilis. CSF is collected via lumbar puncture and tested using TPHA. Preparation includes fasting and ensuring sterile conditions. Risks involve headache, infection, or bleeding from the procedure. A positive result indicates syphilis involvement of the central nervous system, but results should be correlated with clinical findings and other tests to confirm diagnosis.600 BDT
