CD30
CD30 is a cell surface protein that is primarily expressed on activated T cells and B cells, as well as Hodgkin's lymphoma and certain types of anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) cells. It is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) superfamily and plays a role in cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival during immune responses. Clinically, CD30 is used as a marker for diagnosing and monitoring Hodgkin's lymphoma and ALCL, as these cancers typically show high expression of CD30. Monoclonal antibodies targeting CD30, such as brentuximab vedotin, are used in the treatment of these cancers. CD30 is also utilized in immunophenotyping through flow cytometry to help distinguish these malignancies from other types of lymphoma or hematologic disorders.4000 BDT
