Bronco Dilator/Reversibility Test
A Bronchodilator/Reversibility Test is a pulmonary function test used to assess how the lungs respond to bronchodilator medications, which help open airways. It is often used to diagnose or evaluate conditions like asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). During the test, baseline lung function is measured using a spirometer, then a bronchodilator is administered, either via inhalation or nebulizer. After waiting a few minutes, the lung function is measured again to see if there is a significant improvement in airflow, indicating reversible airway obstruction.
