Bone Marrow for C/S (Culture and Sensitivity) is a test used to identify infections in the bone marrow, such as bacterial, fungal, or mycobacterial infections, and to determine which antibiotics or antifungal treatments will be effective. During the procedure, a sample of bone marrow is aspirated, usually from the hip bone, under local anesthesia. The sample is then cultured in a lab to identify pathogens.
