Sialogram right parotid gland

A sialogram of the right parotid gland is a radiographic procedure used to visualize the right parotid gland and its duct system. In this procedure, a contrast dye is injected into the duct of the parotid gland (Stensen's duct), and X-ray images are taken to assess for any blockages, stones, strictures, or other abnormalities within the gland or duct. It is commonly performed when a patient experiences symptoms like pain, swelling, or dry mouth, which may indicate conditions such as sialolithiasis (salivary stones), infections, or ductal obstructions. The images help in diagnosing and planning appropriate treatment for salivary gland disorders.
