Digital X-Ray of Scapula Lateral View
A digital X-ray of the scapula in the lateral view is used to assess the shoulder blade (scapula) for fractures, dislocations, or other abnormalities. During the procedure, the patient is positioned to capture a clear side view of the scapula, which allows for a detailed examination of the bone's structure and alignment. This view is particularly useful for evaluating the posterior aspect of the scapula and detecting issues not visible in other views. The test is non-invasive and typically requires no special preparation. Radiation exposure is minimal but present.
