X-Ray of Wrist Joint Both oblique View

An X-ray of the wrist joint in both oblique views is used to evaluate the bones and joints of the wrist, helping to detect fractures, dislocations, or other abnormalities. In this procedure, the wrist is positioned at a 45-degree angle in two oblique directions (one with the palm up and the other with the palm down), providing different perspectives of the wrist joint. This helps to clearly visualize fractures, ligament injuries, and joint degeneration that might not be seen in standard AP or lateral views. No special preparation is typically needed, but you may be asked to remove jewelry or clothing that could interfere with the X-ray.
