SSF from Right Sole
SSF (Superficial Scraping for Fungi) from the right sole is a diagnostic test used to detect fungal infections on the skin of the sole of the right foot. The procedure involves scraping the affected area to collect a sample, which is then sent to a laboratory for culturing. Fungal infections commonly found on the sole of the foot include Candida (yeast infections) and dermatophytes like Trichophyton species, which cause athlete’s foot (tinea pedis).
