MRI OF PERFUSION WITH ACETAZOLAMIDE CHALLENG

An MRI of perfusion with acetazolamide challenge is an imaging procedure that evaluates brain blood flow. Acetazolamide is injected to temporarily increase blood flow, and MRI perfusion imaging captures this response in real-time. It's used to assess conditions like stroke, tumors, or cerebrovascular diseases. The test usually requires fasting before the procedure. During the scan, you'll lie still for 30-60 minutes. The scan itself is painless, though acetazolamide may cause brief side effects like warmth or a headache. Results are interpreted by a radiologist to assess brain blood flow and vascular health.
