Corresponding Urine Sugar with 1 hr. ABF

The Corresponding Urine Sugar with 1 Hr. ABF test measures the level of glucose (sugar) in the urine one hour after a meal, alongside the 1-hour postprandial blood glucose (ABF) test. This combined test helps evaluate how the body processes glucose after eating and how efficiently insulin is regulating blood sugar. Normally, glucose is not present in the urine, as the kidneys reabsorb it. If glucose is detected in the urine, it suggests hyperglycemia or inadequate insulin function. Elevated glucose levels in both the urine and blood after one hour of eating can indicate diabetes mellitus, insulin resistance, or impaired glucose tolerance, and it aids in monitoring glucose control in individuals with diabetes.
