Child MRI of undescended Testis

A Child MRI of Undescended Testis is a non-invasive imaging procedure used to assess the presence and position of an undescended testicle in a child. An undescended testis (cryptorchidism) occurs when one or both testicles fail to descend into the scrotum before birth. MRI uses magnetic fields and radio waves to create detailed images of the abdomen and pelvic area, helping to locate the undescended testicle and assess its condition. The child lies still inside the MRI machine while the images are taken, and no radiation is used. Preparation may involve fasting or sedation, depending on the child's age and ability to remain still. The procedure is painless, and the results assist in planning further treatment, which may include surgery to correct the condition.
