PTC
PTC (Percutaneous Transhepatic Cholangiography) is a diagnostic and therapeutic procedure used to visualize the bile ducts. It involves the insertion of a needle through the skin into the liver to inject contrast dye into the bile ducts, allowing for imaging via X-ray. PTC is primarily used to identify blockages, stones, or strictures in the bile ducts, often related to conditions like cholangiocarcinoma, gallstones, or strictures from surgery. It can also be used to place stents to relieve obstructions or drain bile in cases of jaundice. Risks include infection, bleeding, bile leakage, or injury to surrounding organs.4125 BDT5500 BDT
