It is often used to diagnose conditions such as brain injuries, tumors, sinus infections (sinusitis), sinus cysts, or nasal polyps. The scan provides detailed images of the brain and surrounding sinus cavities, helping identify structural abnormalities. Contrast dye may be used to enhance the images, especially for soft tissues.
