CPK
CPK (Creatine Phosphokinase) is an enzyme found primarily in the heart, brain, and skeletal muscles. The CPK test measures the level of this enzyme in the blood, helping to assess damage to these tissues. Elevated CPK levels are often associated with muscle injury, heart conditions, or neurological disorders. There are three types of CPK isoenzymes: CPK-MB (specific to the heart), CPK-MM (found in skeletal muscle), and CPK-BB (found in the brain). This test is commonly used to diagnose conditions like myocardial infarction (heart attack), muscle injuries, rhabdomyolysis, and stroke. Elevated CPK levels are typically seen in conditions where there is tissue damage or inflammation.600 BDT800 BDT
