Cannabinoids
Cannabinoids are a group of chemical compounds that interact with cannabinoid receptors in the body, primarily within the endocannabinoid system, which regulates various physiological processes such as mood, appetite, pain, and memory. There are two main types of cannabinoids: Phytocannabinoids: These are plant-derived compounds found in cannabis. The most well-known are tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which has psychoactive effects, and cannabidiol (CBD), which is non-psychoactive and is used for medicinal purposes, including pain relief, anxiety reduction, and seizure control. Endocannabinoids: These are naturally occurring compounds produced by the body that bind to cannabinoid receptors to regulate bodily functions. Cannabinoids are used for medical purposes, such as managing chronic pain, nausea, and anxiety, and are also studied for their potential in treating conditions like epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and cancer.750 BDT1000 BDT
