Basal Cortisol
Basal Cortisol is a test that measures the level of cortisol, a hormone produced by the adrenal glands, in the blood. Cortisol plays a key role in the body's stress response, metabolism, immune function, and regulation of blood sugar. The Basal Cortisol test is typically done in the morning, when cortisol levels are at their highest. It is used to evaluate conditions like Addison’s disease, Cushing’s syndrome, or other disorders related to adrenal or pituitary function. The test involves a blood draw, and there are minimal risks, mainly mild discomfort at the injection site.750 BDT1000 BDT
