Prof. Dr. Shaheen Akter

Prof. Dr. Shaheen Akter graduated with an MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College (SSMC), Dhaka in 1996. Her pursuit of specialization led her to accomplish an MD in Pediatrics from BSMMU in 2003, followed by the attainment of FCPS in Neonatology in July 2009. Dr. Akter has honed her expertise through extensive training in Pediatrics & Neonatology across various esteemed colleges and institutes, including Dhaka Shishu Hospital. Recognized as a proficient pediatrician, she demonstrates adeptness in handling patients and managing neonatal emergencies. Dr. Akter has significantly contributed to her field through a substantial number of publications, underscoring her commitment to advancing medical knowledge. Joining Enam Medical College & Hospital as an Assistant Professor in April 2009, she has ascended to the position of Professor of Pediatrics, where she continues to impart her knowledge and skills in pediatric care.
